Bonus subject: fireworks or sparklers – does not have to be shot as a close up. Remember, safety comes before getting the shot. Play safe.

My tip: Don't rely on your LCD screen to determine if you got the shot or not. I had plenty of shots that I thought were perfect on the LCD, but once I viewed them on the computer, I wasn't happy with them at all. Then I had others that I thought were complete duds, but once on the computer, I really liked them. So have fun, take multiple shots, you never know what ones you'll love.

My goodness, I love your take on all of the subjects. The white rose if simply gorgeous and both of your patriotic photos are awesome. I had a rough time with that one myself (thinking outside of the box). All I could think of was flag, flag, flag. Terrific work!
