Challenge 5

1. Pick any subject you want and shoot it in macro. If your camera is not capable of macro, just let us know and there are ways of faking it in photoshop. You can do 2-3 different subjects.
2. The subject of this part is “time”. Shoot 2-3 representations of “time”… get creative… however you want to interpret it is up to you.
3. This part is specific – shoot your creative space, meaning show us in your life where you get the most creative. One picture in particular that I’d really like to see is of your computer and desk/room. Do you have a crop room at home? Do you have a studio? Do you take your laptop to a cyber cafĂ© and work there? Show us where you do the better part of your creating. Do you have a particular park that you shoot at most of the time? Anything goes. Take as many pictures as necessary to show everyone where you do the bulk of your work. Oh, and maybe a set up or two of how you shoot some pictures.

1. Macro
Since I don't have a macro lens yet (on my wish list), these are what I came up with/

This is one of the gladiolas that I planted this year. They were my Mother in Law's favorite flower so we planted them in memory of her. She passed away in January.

This is a pile of my knitting needles. I cropped this image to appear more of a close up.

This is the original image before cropping.

Here's a set of stitch markers (for knitting) that I made for fun. Again I cropped this image.

The original image.

2. Time

Jay's pocket watch
This is the stump of the box elder tree that was cut down this summer. I have it under time for two reasons. The first is that I thought it was only a matter of time before it would have fallen on our house. Every time we had a storm, I prayed it wouldn't come crashing down. And second, all the time it must have taken the carpenter ants to eat away the center of the trunk.

This is a baby blanket I knitted for some friends. I have it under time because it took a long time to make.

3. My creative spaces

I have two spots I would consider my creative spaces. The first is our basement. This is where I have all my scrapbook stuff. I also shoot some photos down here too. This is also where I edit all of my photos.

one view of my area
another view
This is a buffet that my Dad had made for my Mom. My Mom gave it to me after my Dad died. I thought it was the perfect place to store all of my craft stuff.
My ribbons above my desk

No craft area is complete without a boxer puppy

My pet rock from my Grandma and a bunch of little trinket

My second creative spot would be in out living room. This is where I normally use our macbook. I also sit here and knit when I watch TV, during the summer it was Brewer games.
A close up

my yarn that I'm currently using, may use soon, or just finished with plus all of my needles.

This is my current knitting project. I'm making Kaitlynn a set of leg warmers so she can still wear her skirts when it gets to be winter.

Hi! Wow! I love what you did with this challenge! Thanks so much for the tour around your space! Love all the different views. That pocket watch photo is incredible! You should put a great big copyright over it so no one steals it and sells it. Amazing! Way to go on the challenge!
